Dr. Alain Daou is the founding dean of the Faculty of Business at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo). He is also an associate professor of entrepreneurship at the American University of Beirut (AUB) Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) and director of the AUB Nature Conservation Center. He was previously a visiting professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business at KU Leuven in Belgium (2016-22). Through his research, Daou looks at social and environmental entrepreneurship, circular economy, and organizing in times of crisis. Daou received his bachelor’s degree in international management from Notre Dame University in Lebanon (2001) and his MBA (2010) and PhD (2014) in management, both from Laval University in Canada.​
