Dr. Zinon Zinonos earned his MS (2008) and PhD (2013) degrees in computer science at the University of Cyprus. His research interests include the internet of things (IoT), smart city technologies and applications, wireless and sensor networks, and mobility management in low-power devices. He was previously assistant professor in the internet of things and deputy head of the Department of Computer Science and coordinator of the MS program in Information Systems and Digital Innovation – all at Neapolis University. He served as project manager for Pafos Smart City overseeing projects totaling more than Euros 15 million. In 2024, he was selected to join the Board of Directors of CYTA​​.
