AUB Mediterraneo Signs Memorandum of Understanding with China Jiliang University
Pafos, Cyprus – July 03, 2025:The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Jiliang University (CJLU), paving the way for a dynamic academic and cultural partnership between the two institutions.
AUB Mediterraneo and CJLU will engage in joint research activities, organize exchange programs for students and faculty, co-host seminars and lectures, and share academic resources. Both institutions also intend to explore joint projects and funding opportunities to support innovative research and scholarly cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Wassim El Hajj, rector of AUB Mediterraneo, stated: “This agreement reflects our commitment to cross-border collaboration in higher education. Partnering with China Jiliang University will open new pathways for our students, faculty, and researchers, and spark collaborative innovation across continents.”
China Jiliang University, based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is known for its academic strengths in standardization, quality control, and measurement sciences. This partnership marks a significant step in expanding AUB Mediterraneo’s global academic network and deepening its engagement with leading institutions across the world..
