AUB Mediterraneo in Pafos Celebrates AUB’s Rise to #237 Globally in the QS World University Rankings 2026
Pafos, Cyprus – July 03, 2025:TThe American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo), a twin campus of the American University of Beirut (AUB), proudly marks the advancement of its mother institution to #237 globally in the newly released QS World University Rankings 2026. AUB climbed 13 places this year, a reflection of its ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and global impact.
Located in Pafos, Cyprus, AUB Mediterraneo brings AUB’s internationally recognized heritage to students in Cyprus and across the region. This year’s QS rankings highlight AUB’s outstanding performance in several areas, particularly graduate employability, where it ranks #33 globally for employment outcomes and #3 in the MENA region, with an impressive score of 98.7/100.

It ranked #204 globally and #1 in the MENA region for sustainability, reinforcing its commitment to environmental and social impact. In terms of academic and employer reputation, AUB ranked #288 and #200 globally respectively, and placed #6 in the MENA region for employer reputation. The university also recorded a notable increase in citations per faculty, reflecting the growing global impact of the university’s research.
