Dr. Anthi Chrysanthou

Dr. Anthi Chrysanthou obtained her BA degree (2008) in Greek philology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and her MA (2010) and PhD (2017) degrees in classics from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Her research on Orphism was published by De Gruyter as a monograph, “Defining Orphism: The Beliefs, the teletae and the Writings,” in 2020. She has taught philosophy, ancient Greek literature, ancient cultures, ancient Greek language, and history for more than 10 years at the University of Leeds and the University of Cyprus. Currently she is teaching courses in history of ancient and medieval philosophy at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo).​
