The University Libraries at the American University of Beirut house a large collection of more than 1,500,000 electronic books and provides access to 140,000 electronic periodicals and 800 journals on microfilm (600 in Arabic).

AUB Mediterraneo students will have access to the AUB electronic library that currently subscribes to 350 databases. There are about 1,000,000 audio-visual items in all formats, the majority of which are microforms of a substantial number of local and regional journals and newspapers going back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Archives and Special Collections contains 1,200 linear feet of archival material; 1,800 manuscripts, most of which are in Arabic including some that are unique or rare resources; more than 11,000 theses, projects, and dissertations going back to the early 20th century; 11,500 posters, 1,200 postcards, and 2,000 maps; as well as 100,000 photographs (including over 20,000 negatives) of a unique and historical nature. These collections are developed and enriched on a regular basis to support the academic and research programs of the university.

The library will operate as an online library mirroring resources and services offered by AUB campus University Libraries.
