AUB Mediterraneo offers both merit scholarships and need-based financial assistance to help make an AUB education more accessible.
Financial need is not considered when making an admission decision. Eligible students may receive combined financial assistance of up to 80% of tuition, except recipients of the 100% President Merit Scholarship.
Need-Based Financial Aid
Financial Aid, need-based grant (up to 70% of tuition)
- Need-based grants are awarded depending on the financial need of the family.
- Students awarded need-based grants will continue to receive the grant as long as they are enrolled full-time and in good academic standing.
- Students who want to be considered for a need-based grant must submit a financial aid application (within two weeks of submitting the admission application).
- Financial need is not a factor in the admission decision.
CyprusAid Scholarship Programme
- AUB Mediterraneo participates in the CyprusAid Scholarship Programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus.
- The programme supports eligible students from selected countries in Africa and the Middle East.
- Support may include full tuition, accommodation, a monthly living stipend, and additional approved support related to travel, residency procedures, and medical insurance.
- Eligibility and available places are determined according to the CyprusAid programme criteria.
How Financial Support Works
AUB Mediterraneo offers both need-based financial aid and merit scholarships to help support students throughout their studies.
Financial support is awarded after admission and once the enrollment confirmation fee has been paid. Eligible students can continue receiving their award for the normal duration of their studies, provided they remain in good academic standing.
Scholarships are applied directly toward tuition and will appear on the tuition statement after registration and the start of classes.
AUB Mediterraneo Scholarships
President Merit Scholarship – 100% of Tuition
Applicable to Undergraduate Students Only
The President Merit Scholarship is awarded each year to a select number of entering undergraduate students with outstanding academic qualifications.
The scholarship is renewed each year provided the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.5 per term. There is no separate scholarship application. Selected students arecontacted directly.
Early Admission Merit Scholarship – 30% of Tuition
Applicable to Undergraduate Students Only
Students who meet all Early Admission requirements receive the Early Admission Merit Scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application.
Inaugural Cohorts Scholarship – 20% of Tuition
Applicable to Graduate & Undergraduate Students
Students joining AUB Mediterraneo during its first four academic years, up to and including 2027–28, receive the Inaugural Cohorts Scholarship.
Students who receive this scholarship and do not complete their degree program must return the scholarship amount to the university.
Legacy Scholarship – 10% of Tuition
Applicable to Undergraduate Students Only
Students who are children or grandchildren of AUB alumni and are entering university for the first time receive the Legacy Scholarship.
There is no separate scholarship application.
AUB Europe Scholarship – 10% or 20% of Tuition
Applicable to Graduate & Undergraduate Students
Students who meet either of the following criteria receive a scholarship covering 10% of tuition:
They are nationals of an eligible EU, UK, EEA, or Swiss country.
They reside in and graduate from a high school or university in one of those countries.
Students who meet both criteria receive a 20% scholarship.

Graduate Scholarship – up to 100% of Tuition

A merit scholarship that is awarded to graduate students based on outstanding academic or research qualifications.
There is no separate application for the Graduate Scholarship. Selected students will be contacted directly.
Alumni Scholarship – 10% of Tuition
Applicable to Graduate Students Only
Graduates of the American University of Beirut will receive an Alumni Scholarship to pursue their graduate studies at AUB Mediterraneo.
