Overview
The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) is a private, non-profit university in Pafos, Cyprus, and the twin campus of the American University of Beirut (AUB).
Building on AUB’s longstanding tradition of academic excellence since 1866, AUB Mediterraneo brings an American liberal arts model of higher education to Europe. Students develop in-depth knowledge in their chosen fields while strengthening the critical thinking, communication and interdisciplinary skills needed to respond to a changing world.
AUB Mediterraneo offers undergraduate and graduate programs across the arts and sciences, business and engineering. Through small classes, close faculty mentorship and experiential learning, students benefit from a personalized academic experience within an international university community.
Located at the crossroads of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, AUB Mediterraneo is also developing as a hub for research, innovation and knowledge exchange. Its faculty and students engage with regional and global challenges, with particular attention to sustainability, technology and community impact.
AUB Mediterraneo is approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) as a branch campus of AUB. Its academic programs are accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education (CYQAA). Learn more about accreditation.
