David G. Bradley

​A trustee since 2018, David G. Bradley is the chairman of National Journal Group and the chairman emeritus of Atlantic Media (a company that included The Atlantic, Quartz and Government Executive Media Group). Earlier in his career, he founded The Advisory Board Company and the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner), membership organizations that grew to serve the world's largest corporations, health systems and financial institutions. Bradley purchased the National Journal Group in 1997, and The Atlantic in 1999. His board affiliations include KIPP DC, Swarthmore College, DC-CAP and the Manila-based Child Protection Network. In 2017 he was elected as a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. A graduate of Swarthmore College (BA '75), Bradley's graduate degrees include Harvard University (MBA '77), and Georgetown University (JD '83). He is the recipient of an honorary degree from Swarthmore College (DHL '11).​ ​​​​
