Ada H. Porter

​Ada H. Porter is the Secretary of the University and Director of The Debs Center-AUB New York Office. She joined AUB in September 2005 as Director of Communications, North America and was editor of AUB’s MainGate Magazine for 10 years. Porter was named Senior Director of Communications and Trustee Relations in 2014 and led the historical research component of AUB’s 150th Anniversary in 2016. She is the editor of “Lead, Innovate, Serve: A Visual History of the American University of Beirut's First One Hundred and Fifty Years” which was awarded a Gold Prize in the Circle of Excellence Awards by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. ​Porter graduated from Haverford College and was a Fulbright Scholar in Fez, Morocco. Prior to joining AUB, she worked in the areas of development and communications at the Lycée Français de New York, Business Council of Westchester, and Arabic Language Institute of Fez. ​​​​
