Ayman Asfari

A trustee since 2007, Asfari is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Venterra plc, newly created in 2021. Venterra is a global services champion supporting the offshore wind industry’s rapid expansion and leading role in the energy transition. Prior to Venterra, Mr. Asfari established Petrofac International in 1991 and developed it into a leading FTSE 100 company. He served as Petrofac Group Chief Executive Officer until December 2020. Mr. Asfari is co-Founder and Chairman of the Asfari Foundation, and Founder and Chairman of Madaniya – an umbrella for more than 200 Syrian Civil Society organizations. He serves on the Panel of Senior Advisors for Chatham House. Mr. Asfari is a graduate of Villanova University (BS Engineering ’79) and the University of Pennsylvania (MSc Civil and Urban Engineering ’80). ​​​​
