Dr. Iakovos Menelaou

Dr. Iakovos Menelaou holds a BA (2006) in medieval and modern Greek philology from the University of Ioannina, an MA (2008) in Byzantine and modern Greek studies from Queen’s University Belfast, an MTh (2013) in theology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and a PhD (2020) in modern Greek studies from King’s College London. His research interests include the politics and history of Cyprus, postcolonialism, decolonization, Greek literature, and culture. Menelaou taught at the Institute of History of the University of Hradec Králové, the Metropolitan College (Greece), and UNICAF. Currently, he is teaching courses in international politics at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo)​
