Riad B. T. Kamal
A trustee since 2008 and trustee emeritus since 2019, Kamal is the founder of Arabtec Construction. Arabtec Construction, one of the five largest contractors in the MENA region, specializes in building and civil engineering works and has constructed a number of world class developments including Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Kamal is a member of several boards, including Turkland Bank, Istanbul, Turkey; Arabia Insurance Co., Beirut, Lebanon; Gulf Capital, Abu Dhabi, UAE; and Rotana Hotels Co., Abu Dhabi. He is an Advisory Board member for the Middle East and North Africa of Deutsche Bank (Swiss), SA; founder of DEPA United Group, Dubai; and trustee of The Welfare Association, Geneva. Kamal is a graduate of Imperial College (BS, civil engineering, ’65; MS, construction engineering, ’66).
