LEBANurse | Empowering Assistant Nurses in Lebanon

The LEBANurse is a vocational training initiative designed to strengthen Lebanon’s healthcare system by addressing the critical shortage of nursing professionals.

Through a structured programme combining education, practical training, and community engagement, the project equips women from vulnerable backgrounds with the skills needed to become assistant nurses and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare sector.

Lebanon is currently facing a significant shortage of healthcare professionals, particularly in the nursing sector. Economic challenges, workforce migration, and limited access to education and training opportunities have placed increasing pressure on the healthcare system.

These challenges affect the quality and accessibility of care, especially in underserved communities where the need is most urgent.

LEBANurse addresses these challenges through a structured vocational education and training programme that combines theoretical learning with practical experience.

Participants benefit from hands-on training, clinical placements, and community-based activities, enabling them to develop the competencies required to support healthcare services effectively.

The project also integrates digital tools and innovative learning approaches to ensure accessibility and long-term sustainability.

The project adopts an inclusive and practical approach, combining education, real-world experience, and community engagement. By focusing on both skills development and social inclusion, LEBANurse supports participants in building sustainable careers while contributing to improved healthcare access.
