Andreas Savva

Andreas Savva is a theoretical neuroscientist and psychologist working at the intersection of cognitive development, learning, and computational modeling. His research examines how cognitive organization and intelligence-like regularities emerge from constrained dynamical processes, using tools from geometry, network theory, and simulation-based methods to investigate structure–function coupling in neural and cognitive systems. He is particularly interested in formal models that connect measurable behavioral patterns with their underlying generative mechanisms. Alongside his academic work, Savva serves as a school psychologist, applying developmental and systems-oriented approaches to psychoeducational assessment, intervention design, and educational decision-making. At the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo, Savva teaches Behavioral Neuroscience.
