Dr Alain Daou

Dr. Alain Daou is the first dean of the Faculty of Business at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo). He is also an associate professor of entrepreneurship at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) and a visiting professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, at KU Leuven in Belgium since 2016. He was previously director of the Nature Conservation Center at the American University of Beirut (2021-2025).

Daou received his bachelor’s degree in international management from Notre Dame University in Lebanon (2001), and his MBA in international development and humanitarian action (2010) and PhD in management (2014), both from Laval University in Canada. Through his research, Daou looks at social and environmental entrepreneurship, circular economy, and organizing in times of crisis.
