Dr Marios Touloupou

Dr. Marios Touloupou holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nicosia, where his research focused on performance assessment frameworks for distributed ledger technologies and blockchain systems. His research centers on distributed intelligent systems, with particular emphasis on resource orchestration and adaptive optimization across the cloud–edge–IoT continuum. He has contributed to and led research activities in several European-funded projects, working on AI-driven orchestration, distributed optimization mechanisms, and secure data management platforms. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Cyprus University of Technology, where he develops AI-based approaches for adaptive resource management in heterogeneous computing environments. At the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo, Touloupou teaches undergraduate courses in computer engineering and computer science, including computer architecture and digital systems.
