Biography
Dr. Zinon Zinonos earned his MS (2008) and PhD (2013) degrees in computer science at the University of Cyprus. He also holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras. His research interests include the internet of things (IoT), smart city technologies and applications, wireless and sensor networks, and mobility management in low-power devices. He previously served as Smart City Project Manager for the Municipality of Pafos, overseeing projects totaling more than €15 million. He joined the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta) in January 2024 and was reappointed in August 2026.
