VOICES Student Network

What is the VOICES Student Network?

The VOICES Student Network brings together students from diverse academic backgrounds who are passionate about fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus culture. Working in collaboration with the Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX, members serve as peer advocates who contribute to awareness initiatives and community-building activities that promote equal opportunity, respect, and belonging across campus.

Whether you are interested in leading the network or contributing as a member, your involvement can help create meaningful and lasting impact within the AUB Mediterraneo community.

Students interested in joining may log in to the AUBSIS / Petition System to submit their request (under “VOICES Student Network Form”).

1. About the Student Leader Role​

The Student Leader serves as the primary liaison between the VOICES Student Network and the Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX. The leader is responsible for coordinating members, facilitating communication, supporting the planning and implementation of initiatives, and ensuring that activities are carried out effectively and on time.

The Student Leader works closely with the Office team, receiving guidance while helping shape the network’s activities and ensuring active member engagement throughout the academic year.

2. About the Member Role

Members of the VOICES Student Network actively contribute to planning and implementing initiatives that promote belonging, mental health awareness, inclusion, respect, and community engagement at AUB Mediterraneo.

Members collaborate closely with one another, with the leader and with the Equal Opportunity and Title IX Office team to create meaningful opportunities for dialogue, learning, and positive change.

3. Membership Expectations

To remain an active member, students are expected to:

  • Attend the annual general assembly in the Fall.
  • Attend the semester town hall meeting in the Spring.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of at least one initiative each semester.
  • Attend at least one VOICES Student Network event per semester.

Members who do not meet the minimum participation requirements may be discontinued from the network.
